Most Americans pay either no taxes at all (or virtually none) many get MORE back then they pay in.

So knowing that, how does the 99% BS make any sense at all?

Lawyers and Doctors pay taxes. Most those bellyaching about life and being pumped up about it get paid by uncle sam a profit each year and are just too dumb to realize it.

People want a job? I can feel that.

People crying that the "rich" ($100,000 a year is "rich" in their minds even with $100K in loans and business debts) not paying enough taxes but then getting paid a profit each year for just not being dead?.........There is a reason why only 3% of Americans get a PhD and less that a third even a BA (they are morons). Yet those morons vote.........can't do math to save their god damn lives, but they vote (by asbentee so they can stay on the couch, but they still do it)

Point was the 99% myth. When nearly half don't pay ANY income tax at all, the theory that they are some how being overtaxed compared to the rich is just plain stupid. In reality it is the upper half (including anyone who actually graduates on this forum) who pay for them for the rest of their lives.

The 99% is a myth. I have met countless minimum wage workers who cry about how (their words) "I pay more in taxes than Bill Gates"........(f'n morons). Not only is that clearly not true dollar for dollar, it's not even true in a percent. They get back MORE than they pay in. They make a PROFIT!

Yet when less than a third of Americans get a college degree (at all) it dosn't exactly amaze me how they can't add to 1.

I'll bite on the History part. What's your point? Reperations?

look at history of whether our government worries more about rich people or poor people.  reparations not even relevant in julie's view, but since you mention it:   it corporations got protected first as "persons" under fourteenth amendment, not former slaves supposed be helped.

more recently,  it banks got bailed out, not average people.  rest of us be expected "suffer consequences" our misjudgment. 

yes, damn the friggin' government all to socialist hell, our government dare have nerve have progressive income tax rates.  and yes, some people pay no tax at all.  and yet, many peoplenot rich by any stratech of imagination pay plenty of tax--porportionately way more than those who can hire lawyers to hide their income in caymans.  and corporate welfare not even address that problem.

that even before we start talking about whose interests being particularly served in places like vietnam, iraq, or  afghanistan.  your average bakery owner not one trying do business there.

So, who writes the Tax Code???   Congress!!!  How many in Congress are "rich" & benefit from the Tax Code (loopholes) they write??? 

Who offered the bailouts???  Congress!!!!   How many in Congress have interests in those Corporations & Banks, you demonize, & benefit from the bailouts???  So, really, who are the true culprits???

How many of the tax credits/deductions did you take, when you could opt to not take any??  Also, how much did you pay in addition to the Bureau of Public Debt to reduce the debt, or give extra to the Government via the IRS??  Did you take a refund, or did you opt to let it apply (rollover) to the next tax year essentially giving the Government an interest free loan??  If you paid, maybe you have a gripe, but if you took a refund by using the credits & reduction offered in our Congressional-written Tax Code, quite bitching about everyone, rich or poor, who does what you do & take it to Congress - the authors of the Tax Code.
