Should I transfer from TJSL?
« on: April 11, 2012, 09:34:28 PM »
Right now I am at TJSL, starting my second year.  I am in the top 18% of my class and have made honour roll every semester thus far.  I was offered a scholarship as incentive to begin in the Spring of 2011.

My Alma Mater was UCSB, I have a 156 LSAT Score, have over ten years of work experience (worked to support myself though high school and college), and am looking to go JAG after passing the bar.

I feel like I could have got into a better law school to start, but most law schools do not offer Spring enrolment and I already lived in San Diego.   My top transfer choices include UC Davis, UC Hastings, and UC Irvine.  Some of my other choices include Loyola, Pepperdine and USD.

Is it even possible that I'd get into my first three choices all things considered?  Would it be a good option for me to transfer to my second three choices in the light of the prospect of me losing my scholarship?

What type of position are you looking for after school?  If it's the JAG, like your moniker suggests, then I'd stay put.
