Facebook for the legal community?

A few years ago, Mark Zuckerberg created the largest social networker in the world where people who have lost touch with one another can meet and those who never met may meet. This changed the way that people interact by putting a majority of they life stories online so taht people can interact with it by either liking it and the such.

There has been a new creative development using the social networking concept and applying it to a specific community, the legal community called legalnetworker.com. The most interesting thing about this is that it helps people pick an attorney from their community without having to search all over for a good attorney. An interesting thing about this is that attorneys will be bidding on the case in order to retain your information which only is released upon the clients selection.

How this effects the LA Marketing community is that now lawyers in Los Angeles can log on to this website and upon verification they will have access to cases that they would not have otherwise. This will have them provide online visibility as well as lower cost in marking to the public for ones legal services.

Has anyone else heard of this? I'm curious to know if this is catching on.
