Clerkship Chances

I know this board is largely empty but if anyone is around and has knowledge regarding this I'd be grateful.  What are my chances at a federal court of appeals clerkship as a URM (black) on LR at a T14 and top 20% rank? How about district court? Thanks

Decent shot at a district court clerkship.  No/very small shot at COA.  If I were you, I'd make it a point to apply to black judges, also, do not limit yourself geographically.

You have no chance if you don't go for it. If I were you I would stop paying attention to all the rankings and go for it. Believe in yourself. Also, there is more money in private practice then working for someone.

I think you have a very good shot.  But the clerkship application process is a very random and opaque experience.  Apply broadly and to both circuit and district court judges.  Good luck!
