Pros and Cons of transfer Columbia -> Harvard
« on: January 26, 2012, 12:59:03 AM »
Hello,
I am currently attending Columbia Law School and I was thinking about applying to Harvard as a transfer student.
I am enjoying my time at Columbia (and I love the school's atmosphere) but it's just that Harvard has always been my dream school and I thought I would regret it if I didn't even try. (I did not apply when I was an undergraduate because I did not have a very good LSAT score)

Before I make up my mind, I wanted to find out pros and cons about transferring (and more specifically from Columbia to Harvard).
Job-search wise, would it be disadvantageous if I transfer out of Columbia (if I want to get a firm job in NYC?)
What would you say are pros/cons for transferring?

Additionally, what do you think are my chances at successfully transferring?
I had an undergraduate GPA of 4.03 (another Ivy school), LSAT of 170
and for my first semester at law school, I got 2 As and 1 B+ so GPA approximately of 3.77.

Thank you for your help!
