By bad credit I mean someone who might have gotten their credit ruined by ID theft. How badly will this affect someone's ability to get student loans?

By bad credit I mean someone who nearly lost it all in the crash, including a near perfect credit rating. I'm not having any problem at all borrowing money.

federal student loans will still get. Private ones probably still yes but need a cosigner with good credit.
