In at American ft, app in appeal @ Fordham for pt

Hey all,

I was accepted with less than stellar numbers to American's FT program, and rejected from Fordham. I resubmitted my application to Fordham and asked them to consider me for the PT program. Well, should I tell Fordham that I am still interested in attending, and also tell them that I'd be willing to drop my FT seat at American for a PT seat at Fordham? Will telling Fordham that I was accepted to American influence their decision in any way? The reasoning that I hope gets used is that since I'm part of the FT program at American, it legitimizes me for the PT program at Fordham. Is this correct? Thanks for everyone's input!
