There's a very interesting presentation available on a firm called GL Advisor's website about the opportunity for savings for law graduates through these new federal programs. You can view it here:

They are offering free personalized assessments to law students and graduates that will estimate the savings available through the new programs, and will also provide a recommended action plan for your own loan portfolio. Here's the link to register (takes less than 5 minutes):

Once you've registered, they'll turn your assessment around within two days, and a GL representative will contact you for a free consultation on the assessment results and proposed action plan.

GL Advisor will complete all necessary forms, create a financial plan, and file your federal and state tax returns (with an eye towards reducing AGI for the purposes of reducing monthly payments where applicable) for a nominal annual fee if you choose to work with them. In any case, I believe every 3L student and recent graduate will benefit from their free assessment. These federal programs are grossly underutilized by eligible borrowers, mostly due to a lack of prescriptive advice available about exactly how to navigate them to be positioned for the maximum benefit. As you'll see in the presentation linked above, the opportunity for savings to many law graduates is substantial.
