There's a very interesting presentation available on a firm called GL Advisor's website about the opportunity for savings for law graduates through these new federal programs. You can view it here: http://www.gladvisor.com/lawpresentation.aspx
They are offering free personalized assessments to law students and graduates that will estimate the savings available through the new programs, and will also provide a recommended action plan for your own loan portfolio. Here's the link to register: https://clientportal.gladvisor.com/Registration.aspx
GL Advisor will complete all necessary forms, create a financial plan, and file your federal and state tax returns (with an eye towards reducing AGI for the purposes of reducing monthly payments where applicable) for a nominal annual fee if you choose to work with them. In any case, I believe every 3L student and recent graduate will benefit from their free assessment.
