149 on practice LSAT, projected improvement?

Guess it's not a horror story, I mean Freddy Krueger didn't come out of my LSAC booklet and rip my genitals off but seems like a lot of people in the forum are experienced with taking the thing. I'm going into a highly recommended prep course that says it will boost me a minimum of 10 points.  I got a 149 on the practice with no prep and I don't know what the average scores are for practice tests but I know the average score overall is like 147-151. How much did you guys improve from the very first time you took the practice test to when you sat down and took the hell beast?

You will get a modest 3 to 5 point bump with just a little study.  The big improvement comes after 100+ hours.  You are probably capable of high 160's or better with some real work.

I had about a 140 1st time and with a lot of hard work I pulled off a 157 on my real LSAT.
