Texas Tech vs. South Texas College of Law

Texas Tech vs. South Texas College of Law
« on: February 18, 2011, 09:14:43 AM »
I am trying to decide between Texas Tech and South Texas. Here is what I know so far:
Texas Tech: T3, low tuition, I'd have to move to Lubbock.
South Texas: T4, more expensive than Tech, in my hometown (Houston).

Does anyone have any comments/suggestions? Does anyone know which one of these schools typically offers better financial aid packages?

Check out these links and see what kind of aid other people with similar scores to you got.

That said, my guess is that STCL is better for you if you want to stay hometown.  Neither are nationally portable, but both work in their regions.

Do your scores not work for Baylor, SMU, or UofH?  They'd be better bets for Texas employment.

Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately, I got dinged by UH.

Well, on the plus side, STCL has a good reputation in Houston and a good reputation for specific areas of law.

Is Baylor out?

South Texas unless Tech offers you some good money...
