Sub-par semester...
« on: December 27, 2010, 09:51:50 PM »
I took 4 classes this semester. I realized too late that my science course was unnecessary for my graduation requirements so I dropped it (my only 'W' and I don't plan on getting any more). Unfortunately, I had a really tough graduate student and got a B- in another intro math course. I ended up with a 3.567 for the semester as I aced my other two classes. I know 'W's aren't that big of a deal, but I'm afraid that the 'W' combined with a B- in an intro course will look really bad. I've heard that law schools don't care what courses you take, as long as your cumulative GPA is good. Mine should still be around a 3.85-3.95. I'm also a Mexican-American URM (I hate mentioning this, but I figured it might have some relevance). I've asked around other forums, but I've gotten conflicting responses. Just wanted some other thoughts on the matter.

Thanks.

GPA and LSAT matter.

W's don't show up in either. Yes they are on the transciprt. No one cares though. Don't sweat it.
