I am leaning towards labor law, but will be entering law school with an open mind.

I am in the same boat as you as I am deciding between UNH and Suffolk.  Through speaking  with faculty of the school and various attorneys in the NH area, the merger will only help the school's ranking and reputation.  I would guess the school is poised for a tier two ranking in the near future.
