Is law school possible?
« on: October 30, 2010, 01:13:55 AM »
Hello, I just got my score back after taking the exam a second time. Even though it went up, it still is on the low side. The first time I took it, I got a 139. I studied a lot for the second time and was scoring in the low 150s on my practice exams. I ended up with a 144 (3.0 undergrad gpa) which is heartbreaking. At this point I do not know how to improve my score if I took it again because I spent 20+ hours a week stidying (not counting a prep course I took). I do have a track record of doing poorly on standardized exams.

I am 29 and have been out of school for 6 years now (working in a field that has nothing to do with law). The part time programs I am looking at are at NY Law, Brooklyn Law and Fordham. Is it even worth going forward or should I just stop now?

Take the LSAT one more time.  If you can't get above a 160, it's time to hang it up.
