uploading answer one hour after the deadline

The examsoft crashed when I took the afternoon test and I had to change to handwriting.  The tech guy assure me that in spite of this there won't be any problem to upload the morning answer.  When I got back to hotel once I try to run the examsoft it crashed.  I uploaded my answer more than one hour after the deadline and received a confirmation letter from examsoft.

under this situation,  are they enforce the deadline very strictly?  Should I write them a letter to clarify? or a letter would be worse?

That sucks it crashed, but I really don't think they would be to upset if it came late. You can't adjust it or anything once ExamSoft closes you can't mess with it so why would they care if it came an hour late?  That is my understanding anyways, but you probably should sent some kind of letter to the exam-coordinator explaining what happened.
