NJ Swearing-in Ceremony
« on: May 18, 2010, 11:14:15 AM »
Does anyone have any idea how "grand" the swearing-in ceremony for NJ at War Memorial in Trenton usually is? I am trying to decide whether it's worthwhile to travel there and invite families and friends along. Thanks!

Is it mandatory to attend?

No. You could be sworn in privately by a notary public, but it might be worthwhile to attend for the sake of memory. After all, ending this gruesomely long journey with an oath in front of a notary is just very anti-climactic.

Depends on whats she's wearing and how much you tip her I suppose...  ;D
Not all notaries work in banks and court houses ;)
