U of Nebraska or U of S Dakota
« on: May 01, 2010, 04:29:47 PM »
I am looking for some input on my decision for school next year.  My two choices are UNL (93) and USD (T3).  I would get SD resident tuition which is dirt cheap, but out of state sticker price for UNL.  Is is worth paying double the money for a ranked school?  Also, I want to stay in the midwest after graduating, not sure where specifically though.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Everyone at the firms in Sioux Falls and Rapid City went to USD. I'm not sure about Omaha an Lincoln but I imagine Nebraska places very well there. Either way you're pretty limited, but it sounds like you're OK with that.Maybe Nebraska can get you KC, but probably not worth it.

I have alot of experience with the market, and it really depends where you want to work. For Nebraska its all U of N, even up to 8th Circuit Clerkships. But to practice in SD I guess I can't really say, all I can say is that UN dominates Nebraska with the possible exception of WashU for some *&^%.
