can a law school forget about your application?

I am still waiting on Pepperdine and Chapman....no news...is this bad or just a normal thing...

I doubt they would just "forget" about your application as long as you submitted it properly.  Did you ever get a notice that your application was received and/or complete?  If not, you could just e-mail and say that you just wanted to follow up on your application and make sure everything was complete and ask if they had any idea when a decision might be made.  If you did get a complete notice, then just wait it out.

You can always apply to a few "safety schools" just to be on the safe side while you wait.
