Back to Law School at 38????

Just one of the usual posters looking for any shared experiences with going to Law School in your late 30s or later!!!!  Took the LSAT 1 1/2 years ago and got a 145.......Scheduled to take June '10' LSAT.....I'm a beggar for punishment  lol

Hello,
I too am 38 and I have full intentions on getting my law degree and passing the bar. Now, I may never be a partner in a large law firm, but I will be able to work as a public defender. That is what I want to do. Best of luck.

best of luck to you both. Trust me, there are larger extremes out there. Just stay focused and you should both be fine.

I was 37 when I went back to law school - I regret doing it.  My 2 cents, unless you are going to a T1 school or getting better than a 50% scholarship I would think seriously before making the commitment.  See my posts on this thread.  There is a lot of homework you should do before deciding to plunk down $100K, risk your financial future, and put your families throught that hell.

Can you do it? absolutely.  SHOULD you do it?  Think long and hard.
