Scholarship Negotiations

So, I am currently debating about going to two different schools. The first is one I will probably go to regardless, but they gave me less money than the other school. The other school gave me a total of 15,000 more. Anyone have any experience negotiating scholarship money? I was debating whether to send an e-mail or to set up a meeting. Any advice will be great!

Make of a copy of your offer letter from the school giving more money and send it to the other school and politely ask whether there is anything they can do, highlighting the cost difference. This seems to be the most common tactic.

I got shot down on a negotiation attempt yesterday. lol Glad I tried though!

Not sure you have ever looked at TLS (sorry if cross boarding is stepping on toes), but there is a post there which is really helpful to consider when going about this.
