u have to have over a 3.0 tho to stay off probation, so having a low 3.0 gpa would show how much you sucked ass in grad school, which may mean bad news bears for law school app's right ?
Nope. First, grades are largely considered unimportant in grad school if you stay off probation and avoid C's. Second, it's been stated that adcoms generally only spend about 5 minutes per application. Consider how much scrutiny one's app really gets after an adcom reads the personal statement, reviewing a resume, assesses addenda, diversity statement, letters of recommendation, and inspects any grade trends. Considering that the overwhelmingly most important factors are the ug GPA/LSAT, this really doesn't leave a lot of room for attention/care about graduate GPAs. So unless there's a giant red flag, I doubt adcoms will pay that much attention to a number which is thought of in most academic circles as almost irrelevant.
