A URM ethical conundrum

On paper I am a URM.  I do not feel like a URM, or look like a URM.  However, this would almost certainly put me over the top at my first choice law school.

If you can truthfully put a little [X] by the "Hispanic" or whatever check box, go for it. You may not like AA or believe it shouldn't benefit you, but it isn't going to go away simply because you omit to use it, so you might as well take advantage.

Check the box.  Then donate some money that you make from the good job that you'll get to groups that oppose affirmative action.

I guess im in the other camp hoping that I can check one of those boxes.  Does First Nation heritage ie Canadian Indian count as URM and if so how much Indian blood would have to be in me.  Also the tribe that I am descended from has roots in the US.

If it's your heritage, check the box. There isn't much of an admissions bump for claiming Native heritage, but it's something. Don't worry about not looking like a plains Indian, as most of the judgmental pricks who care about such things expect you to look. There are plenty of full-blooded Natives who don't.
