GULC or NU for Tax LLM

GULC or NU for Tax LLM
« on: December 12, 2009, 05:17:03 AM »
I know the economy sucks, but I want a tax LL.M. degree because I eventually want to return to academia to teach tax law. I am receiveing a JD from UMiami, cum laude at least, Spring 2010, and I want to return to the Midwest to live and practice (although the economy is the worst there). Is it better to accept an offer from GULC or Northwestern? What are the job outlooks at each place. I know GULC has TIP and primarily places students in government jobs in DC, but I don't know much about Northwestern.

GULC is widely considered to be a better program. Although most students end up in DC/NYC , there is plenty of placement elsewhere.

I am doing a Joint JD/LLM in tax at GULC if you have any specific questions about the program.

The only LLMs worth taking, ever, is tax at NYU or Georgetown.
