TJSL July 2009 bar pass rate was horrible
« on: November 24, 2009, 11:12:53 PM »
I graduated from Thomas Jefferson in May of 2009 and took the July 09 bar. I passed (praise God) but the school first time past rate was a horrible 47%. This is the worst July performance since 2005.  With a crushing 47% pass rate the school's reputation is going to take a nasty hit as it doesnt a good rep anyway. The last 4 exams were looking pretty good until my graduating class got annihilated. I truly am surprised that the pass rate was so low. I personally was a average student and scored in the median of my class. I got the occasional 3.3, 3.0 but if the subject was really boring i would zone out. I guess it shows that if you understand the concepts well enough and memorize enough material any student can pass the cal bar so dont be discouraged. Good luck TJSL students and may the class of 2010 help the pass rate recover.

July 08 had a pass rate of 75%.
Feb 08 was  61%
July 07 was 56%
Feb 07 was  61%
July 06 was 51%
July 05 was 38%
July 04 was 37%
July 03 was 46%
July 02 was 48%
July 01 was 59%
July 2000   36%

The last bastion of our collective academic hope as a nation is now sadly on the decline, where will the nation now turn for barely qualified to attend law school graduates?
