LSAC error calculating GPA

Has anyone had this happen to them? I noticed my GPA was lower than it should be. Looking through I noticed that during 1 year they had marked an A course as a B. I knew this was the case because Hours of A credit was 4 short and Hours of B credit had 4 extra; I took 1 4 hour course. There were only As and Bs that year, so it wasn't an issue with incompletes, withdrawals, etc. I contacted them online yesterday and have not heard back yet, but it said to give them 2 or 3 business days. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if it was easy to correct.

No error, all GPA's are leveraged on a 4.0 scale.  The LSAT test will then benchmark the adjusted or new GPA. The 180 score converts to a 4.0 / 179 = 3.95  178 = 3.90  etc   You get the general idea.......     

Average loss is 3/10 of a grade when pluses (+) are removed from the grading matrixs but so are minues (-).  On a 100 point scale, the most that LSAC will deduct is 25 points or 3.0 becomes a 2.0 on a 4.0 grading scale.......

My school did not award + or -, just a letter grade. In my academic summary report it says this:

All of these numbers match the hours of As, Bs and Cs I received except my freshman year. I received 11 hours of B credit and 24 hours of A credit. A 4 hour swing occurred. I took a 4 hour course and received an A. The course right below was a B. They made a mistake.

In case anyone cares, here's what happened. On 10/27, LSAC sent me an email that they had received my message and would respond within 2 business days. On 10/29 they put a hold on my account to check the transcript. They said to wait 5 to 7 business days. I just checked my account and it has been updated with the correct GPA. I checked it earlier so it happened at some point this afternoon/evening.

brocklander--good thing you were vigilant, man! I just wanted to take this moment to say (nothing personal) that this guy oceansmarine gives terrible advice and seems to relish in spreading misinformation about the boards. Check out some of his latest post. He had our jaws dropping in another thread with some of his assertions. He even said that the lsat is just a formality! I have witnesses!
