I have so far written my entire personal statement of which I like the first part and strongly dislike the second part. I was wondering, what could I do in order to perfect my statement? I have a very strong sense regarding what the content will be, I mostly need help with the very technical stuff (points, commas, word choice, grammatical structure, etc..)
I don't think I can afford a personal consultant. I just took a rhetoric class last semester (before I graduated), would it be appropriate to approach my professor for help? If I couldn't do so then, what would be a viable way to work on my personal statement and to make sure it is perfectly polished?
