My major gpa is lower than the actual one my school gave me. Does the LSAC calculate my major gpa by averaging all the classes that are under the same subject as my major?

Courses are only differentiated by their weight in no. of credits, not whether they're major or non-major.
The LSDAS gpa is the weighted average of all your courses' gpa values (score-gpa chart available on lsac.org)
