Do second semester grades matter?

...if you're applying to law school straight out of undergrad? Can they hurt you if you've already been admitted somewhere? Can they help you if you're waitlisted?

yes, they'll ask for transcript updates. scholarships may be conditioned on your GPA and some schools may rescind acceptance / kick you out based on low GPAs too.

Do FIRST semester senior year grades count if we're going complete in December? Is it normal procedure for admissions committees to request 1st semester grades prior to making a decision? This is in regard to top-14 schools.

I plan on working just as hard but want to know if we should be concerned about a couple of B's
