1. should I hit the back-to-school aisle and find the cheesiest, most ridiculous Disney-star ladden pencils I can find (I'm thinking a combo pack of Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers)...

...or stick with yellow #2?

2. has anyone had success bringing a nalgene bottle into the testing room?

3. and maybe this would work in my favor, but I don't want to scare any men in the room, and I'll be so unlucky as to require hygeine products in my (clear) plastic bag on testing day (as if I could have planned that better, I know.). this is actually really bothering me, and I can't think of a solution.

1. My daughter has suggested that I take her Tinkerbell and Arielle pencils... I'm sticking with yellow #2's but it's a funny thought!

3. Wrap them in the tissues that you're allowed to bring in your bag?

Judging from how frequently my math students have to get up and sharpen their pencils, those disney pencils seem to be the worst.  The points dull really quickly and don't sharpen well in a handheld sharpener because the 'picture' is a plastic flim on the outside.   I'd stick with yellow #2.

I second wrapping your hygeine products in napkins or klennex.

As I remember, you're allowed to bring a wallet.  If you have a little change purse or wristlet, you could put them in there

Exactly what kinds of "hygeine products" are we talking about here?

If you need to freshen up after just 3 and a half hours something is wrong.

ETA: I think certain hygeine products are allowed in your plastic bag anyway.

wallet, hygiene and medical products are allowed....I've discovered "they" will fit in my glasses case with my back-up glasses.

and Thales. 3.5 isn't my fear. It's waiting another 2-3 hours that could potentially cause a crisis (considering I'll be leaving my house no later than 7 a.m.).
