How Long Do Schools Keep Applications?

So I applied to a few...dozen...schools in 2005-2006. Long story short, I dropped out of the school I chose 2 weeks into it and now, after taking some time to work and gain some life experience, I'm planning on applying to 2 of them again this fall for '10, and then another 4 more.

How long do schools keep applications in general? And how accessible will my "old" information (application and PS, I know LSAT and LSAC is available) be to other schools should they choose to dig?

Usually, they wouldn't make you do a totally new application if it were the next cycle.  Contact the schools about it, but I assume that you'll have to do everything over again.

That works out well, I'm more concerned about them being *able* to check out apps from 3 years ago. I'd prefer a clean slate.

That said, I plan on calling those schools tomorrow.
