Just Learned 6 Firms Out of my OCI

And one of them was at the top of my bid list.

It looks like we're starting to see firms leave left and right.

Sorry to hear.  I am curious to hear if this is a common phenom at other schools right now.

Firms were doing this at my school last year too.

Some firms were also showing up and just going through the motions. Other firms were interviewing a ton, calling back a handful, then only hiring a couple or no students at all.

I think you are going to see more about this in the blogs and such b/c the fact that the economy has crashed has been front page news.

8 firms?!   :o

If your tuition is still increasing next year, I think that's grounds for provocation.

They have a delusion that they can get us from T20 to T10, which is hilarious and embarrassing, but the upshot of which is that most of us don't pay a significant amount of tuition.

GULC is wounded.  Go in for the kill.

Nah.  That is idiotic.  Most lawyers have very firm perceptions of these schools, regardless of the underlying reality.  Spending more money on slightly better faculty isn't going to make much of a difference to anyone but 0L US News whores.

Your mother tried to make them come, but couldn't finish the job.

I feel like there are new firms pulling out every day. Gulc is down to 475 offices this year (hard to count firms because of the way symplicity is set up). Last year there were 550 or so. The year before over 600.

Good luck guys.
