Nevermind! I think I had an epiphany. Thx for the responses though :) Don't know how to delete topic, but people can add their own situations to it I guess.

What kind of job do you want after school and are there plenty of employers in your school's primary market(s) to meet that goal?  If you don't care about teaching, the move may not be worth it. 

If you have a financially successful career, I think the debt is a non-issue after five or six years if you are focused on paying off your loans.

How are you going to have $150K after 2 more years. Shouldn't it be closer to 110 or 120K? Anyway, UChicago is definitely going to open more doors both now and over the long run for just about any type of employment. If you want public interest or govt, I've heard U of C's LRAP isn't very good compared to some other schools, so you may want to read the fine print on that.

Hyde park isn't that bad. You don't have to live there. I imagine plenty of students commute to school.
