Cigarettes at the LSAT?
« on: June 19, 2009, 09:46:55 PM »
Just wondering- I was reading on the LSAC website the list of permitted items you can bring in your clear plastic bag... and although cigarettes and a lighter weren't listed there, they weren't on the list of prohibited items either. I will certainly need a cigarette during the break--- is this going to be a problem? Anyone know from experience?

It may seem like a stupid question... but any smokers will probably be able to sympathize.  :) Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that you can ONLY bring in stuff on the permitted items list, regardless of whether they are on the prohibited list. Also, at least at my testing sites, we were not allowed to leave the building, so you probably wouldn't have the chance to smoke during the break anyhow.

Sorry.  :-\

Really? I guess it does depend on the site, as both sites where I took it were extremely strict about all the rules.

It depends on the site, but plan on not being able to smoke.

man... well, i guess i'll have to wait and see. worst case scenario, they confiscate my cigs, so i'll just bring a few with me in case they get taken. thanks for the info- i appreciate it!

I smoked during the LSAT, at the break and I think at least one other time. Anyhoo, it may depend on the testing site, though.
