I don't know if you've been reading the news, but Biglaw in NY might not be a viable option. And even with high grades at SHU, your employment outlook in general might not be that great. Still no debt is nice, especially given the current economy. However, if you are dead serious about certain types of jobs down the line when the economy picks up the value of a degree from a top school will be there. If your mentality is biglaw or bust after I transfer then you have a lot of thinking to do. If you're willing to take the risk that you might not get big law and things might be rough for the next 4-5 years or so then I would definitely transfer, even if it means GULC. Right now, it's not just GULC that is going to have employment problems b/c of the economy...a lot of top schools are going to be hurting. It's just that GULC will probably be hardest hit among the T14 because of their huge class size.
Good luck whatever you decide.
