Tack another one on for PJC and for nealric.  I haven't seen anything to suggest that they'd be anything but thorough and impartial in their modly duties.

I agree with others that Matthies and Nudum would be good moderators.  They both seem fairly impartial, and I know (at least wrt Matthies) that he is here often!

I would like to nominate myself.  I feel that moderatoring LSD would serve as an excellent resume listing and consequently, vehicle to my dream job - moderator of TLS.

We're pretty good here at not feeding the trolls.  At least ones that have been around since the dawn of human civilization!  ;D

(Sorry, Julie. I couldn't resist.)

I think there are a lot of great names up there (particularly IrrX, lackofabetteridea, Unbiased Observer, and sheltron, who have exhibited a lot of careful thought about how the board would work best -- but really everyone listed is a great candidate).  I do, however, understand people's concerns that the new mod or mods not be associated strongly with any of the board's "cliques."  I have a few additional names to throw into the mix (because they are unfailingly pleasant and generally straight-shooting types), but I don't know if they are at all interested, visit the site enough, etc.:

I would also like to nominate Elephant Lee, though I believe he has already said that he doesn't want to do it, alas.
That's cool how you referenced a case.

I'd like to nominate Nealric and non parata est.  And that the ultra ambitious Cool Beans - I feel like I know him in another life.

eta:  I did not realize that nudum was Amped.  I remember Amped as a pretty decent dude and if he wants the job, I'd support that.
