If I cancel my LSAT score
« on: June 09, 2009, 12:00:18 AM »
what happens to the writing sample?  It doesn't send to law schools right?  I have to make sure.  Thanks!

Because I believe a cancelled and a high score is better than a low score and a high score.

I think if you show a significant improvement, it shows that you are willing to work after a 'failure' if thats what you accomplished yesterday. I think it is important to show that you are willing to fall before you get up. I mean do whatever you want its your life, but I think people in the law school admissions board would see a 145 for example and then see a 160 and think of it as a fluke that you got the 145. You don't just get high grades because you study more, its because you actually want it. I studied my ass off the first time around, but I really didn't want it..this time I really wanted it and I put everything else second..and this has been the reason why I will have a better grade...I HOPE ...if I don't then I really don't know myself HA HA

Some schools combine the two scores for an avereage, so depending on how you truely feel about yesterdays test you may want to cancell it.  It is not an easy call to make... I know I am stuggling with the same thing right now.  Good Luck!

check with your "dream" school first and make sure they dont just take the higher score because if they do then it will be very helpful to know how you did on this test!!

and why cancel now, should have cancel after the 1/2 the test?

I canceled my Lsat score today and it was very devastating but not more devastating as the possibility of that score coming in low.  I understand what everyone is going through.  The decision is tough especially since I will never know what that score was.

Most schools do not average.

To the OP: Presumably the writing sample is cancelled as well.
