transfer to nyu

Hi,

I have a 3.78 at a top 15 law school, but I want to transfer to NYU or Columbia.  I went to a top 10 undergrad and graduated with a 3.9, but my LSAT score was comparatively low (165).  Do I have a good chance at transferring?

Also, do law schools ordinarily look at your class rank when you transfer, or do they look at your individual grades?

Rank is probably the most important, because schools have different curves.  They probably use rank compared to the strength of your peers when comparing applicants.  What is 3.79 at your school in terms of rank?  If you are top 10-15% I would guess you are going to make the cut.
