So when should I do what?
« on: June 03, 2009, 03:03:34 PM »
Ok, so I've been reading up on things I need to do before I apply to law schools, and I'm kind of confused.  Can anyone help me out with what I need to do, when I need to do it, and how I go about doing some of these things.  I'm registering for the September LSAT soon, and I am assuming that I should probably start applying to law schools in December/January.  Thanks so much!

  • You should register for LSDAS soon and get your current undergraduate grades submitted.
  • Start shoring up your letters of recommendation and get them off to LSDAS as well.
  • Get introspective - your essays will require ample self-reflection.

By the time you take the LSAT, you should have a decent idea of where your score will land.  Based on this potential score, you should do quite a bit of research on potential law schools.  You want your applications to go out within two weeks of receiving your score.
