On the bright side, ad offers/scholarships mean I'm in demand (so to speak...)
but would it backfire? Would it make me look not committed enough?
Or should I say that I've turned down these offers? but wouldn't that make me look coy, desperate & stupid?

Any thought, guys?

When my sister got accepted to undergrad she did that. She played Temple against Pitt, and Pitt ended up giving her a subtantial scholarship so I say give it a try, can't really hurt................I hope. ;)

It depends on which schools, and also if you were to do it you should give good reasons for why you want to go to the school you're trying to persuade so you show that you are committed to that school and would go there over the others.

That said, I don't 100% think it's the best idea.  It could easily backfire I'm sure.  It's also not an awful thing to try if you really want to go I suppose.  It really depends on the situation.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think any of those schools are going to be impressed.  They're top-of-the-line.  I'm firmly in the "it might backfire" camp.  Have you thought about getting another recommendation, or sending them some other impressive addendum or statement of interest (not that I've tried any of that)?

It has nothing to do with impressing the other schools. They're just not going to care. They didn't think you were good enough the first time around, so why would the opinion of another school change that? You really think they doubt their ability to put together a class that much?
