The only time I don't like meat bloody rare is on a hamburger because the bun gets so soggy.  Kind of gross.  Other than that, rare. 

Speaking of this, what's happened to our society?  There isn't a restaurant around that's willing to cook a hamburger less than medium these days.  What would John Wayne do?

See, if it was carpaccio, I wouldn't have been so grossed out.  The acidity kind of cooks the meat a bit and it's thinner.  However, this was like chunks of uncooked meat.  The big raw egg yolk on top was just the next step in fear and loathing.  Needless to say, my tummy strenuously objected around 4am today  >:(

In contrast, my main entree was a petite filet cooked medium rare and I was fine with that.

Fried Pickles!!!!!! Excellent.

I generally love fried pickles.  The only problem is that I keep on eating them.  There's a tipping point pickle where you start to feel violently ill
