Some client contact - typically junior associates at investment banks if anything, though. I have been busy off and on, not too worried about losing my job. Most of my day is research or doc review. Normal busy days are 8-9, 11-12 is not unheard of.

I'm not really sure how to answer this questions. Generally, if you have a secretary, at any job, you should probably tell them when you are not in the office, since their job is to answer the phone for you.

The top ranking firm that I know of anybody ever getting a 1L job at, who was not a URM, was Weil. That was when the economy was good.

I know of non-URM's who got hired at Cravath their 1L summers.  But yeah, that was during boomtime.

I didnt know URMs got a boost in BigLaw too?

There are diversity fellowships at V100s for diverse folks...I'm not sure how "diversity" is defined, though.  Goodness knows BigLaw needs all the help in can get in that department.  Firms are generally a pretty sorry picture of diversity...
