And, the bottom of every class at Tulane struggles. I believe the guy you are referring to was at the bottom of his class. If not, mea culpa.

No, he is not.  He graduated with some type of honors. I believe it was Cum Laude. 

I'm guessing poor personality.

For the interest of full disclosure and to be fair, he clerked during the summer while in law school and got an offer.  The offer was later rescinded due to the economy.  Ever since, he had problems not only getting an offer, but  interviews. 

So, he is really not what you guys think he is.  He did have an offer.

Indeed.  He lost his offer just as things tightened up.  I imagine he could have done some things better in his job search, but let's not beat him down (or blame Tulane).

More acceptable, but still. With his credentials, he should be able to find something, bad economy or not.

I think I am thinking of somebody else. Sorry, I don't drop in here much anymore.

In this market, I would never blame anyone for how their particular search is going. Even if you worked hard, did well and are a likable person you can find yourself holding the bad end of the stick.
