Best law school tote?

For the love of god, no duffle bags or rolling backpacks. You are going to law school, not the airport.

Assuming that you have a locker, use a messenger-laptop bag or a durable, plain bookbag.

I have both.

For backpacks, I like the Swiss Gear brand. They are durable and affordable. Target sells them.

Does UofM have lockers?  This will determine whether I get a messenger bag or much-despised wheelie.

Meh, are you a locker porson though? I'm not. I rented one for the first two years but never even opened it once. Just not a locker person. I carry all my crap with me like a hermit

Eh. Some of us have back problems. I don't really understand the antipathy towards wheelie bags, besides the fact that they're kind of dorky. I mean, it really is just a style thing.

The floors at my undergrad are tiled...you could hear those backpacks a mile away.

One thing I did, which I think is handy no matter how you carry your stuff, is I went to Kinko's and had them saw the spines off all my books and 3-hole punch them.  The books go into a large binder, and whatever pages I need that day I move to a smaller binder which I take to class.

Be careful though, some professors who allow you to bring your "book" into an exam will not allow a cut-and-bound version.

Yes. And there's also the girl who walks around the law school BAREFOOT due to a "medical problem..."

Also, the antipathy towards wheelie bags is because they are probably the least fashionable accessory ever created (next to a beenie with propellor).
