Oops yeah it says May 8th, not 9th. There's also a "first tuition" deposit form...which scares me since that means there will probably be a second deposit form....which means more money that I need to borrow.

Standard size envelope (a little thicker than normal because there is another envelope and first tuition deposit form included. Small handwritten message on the paper offering admission (no separate note).

I'm very much leaning towards Georgetown.
I would love to apply to NYU/Columbia (if by some miracle I get straight A's this semester)...the cost of living in NYC and additional expense of applying to NYU/Columbia is making me iffy about it and this GULC deposit is pretty substantial. Would I be willing to lose potentially $500-$600?

Tuition at Georgetown, NYU, etc.. is $43k a year. What is another $1-2k to enable yourself to apply to the best schools possible? NYU/Columbia/Michigan/Penn/UVa, etc.. are all leaps and bounds beyond Georgetown. There is essentially Georgetown/Cornell, and then the rest of the T14. IMO, you would be crazy to NOT apply to the other T14.

Exactly. $500-600 is no tifling amount of money, but it sure as hell should not impact your decision of where to transfer to.

Many os us allowed insignificant amounts of money screw us over by not taking an LSAT prep course. That is why we are in this transfer situation in the first place. Doing it again in the transfer process would be foolhardy, as would the "ugh, I don't want to do multiple law review write-ons" consideration.

For those of us still waiting to go decision, it looks like there might be some movement.  My contact info was just changed to my current mailing address; it was showing my permanent address until now.  I never contacted them to make the change.

To Transfer - I'm positive you got in.  No need to panic :-)  You're stressing me out about this whole thing!
