Yea, I just can't stand flames.  So many of these guys are just completely different people online, hiding behind the pseudo-anonymity of their LSD personas.

Wally is certainly not flame noob.

Wally's not a flame.  Just a bit over the top.  He has hyperbolic ideas about how harsh the economy is, but other posters are right that he's not elitist IRL, and he works his tail off.

I think he's basically just a really nervous dude.  He's worried about the economy and whatnot, so he works his tail off in hopes of still landing a great job.  Then he sees other people in less awesome positions to succeed than he is, and wonders why they aren't even more nervous.  Did you see how he started the thread about "Why aren't other 1Ls worried about the economy?"  Data point.

You have to take Wally with a grain of salt.  He means well, but he has very different ideas than most people about what risks are justifiable.

Depends on which counterparts you're comparing him to.

As far as I know, all of them.

It seems to me that Wally makes Woody Allen look like George Clooney..
If looks could kill, you would be an uzi.

which is to say, he's a Nervous T10 1L?

I see what you did there.

Well he's had it in for me ever since I kinda ran over his dog... Well, replace the word "kinda" with "repeatedly" and the word "dog" with "son."

no, apparently, he really does study way more than his counterparts.

Depends on which counterparts you're comparing him to.

he studies a lot, even by new graduate residence hall standards (which are absurdly higher than regents/grad housing, etc.)
