imho GMU has better professors, a much more friendly student body and better job prospects. American's location is generally more appealing and the campus nicer. The Arlington/Clarendon area really isn't bad either. Very much a young professional community, lots of night life and fun stuff to do. The orange line will have you in DC in about 25 minutes.

As for American, the campus was nice (and HUGE). It just had a better feel to me.

American's law school is a free-standing building which is located away from the campus.

when I visited the american law school i actually went to the rooftop of the building...it seemed like a nice place to have fresh air but yikes they don't have any safety bars! on the edge there is just nothin to prevent me from falling. had some scary imaginations about stressed-out 1Ls.. :)
