If you bomb your second semester, what do you think interviewers at GULC are going to think of you?  You would be in a much worse spot than you would be had you stayed USC.

You killed it.  HYS is certainly feasible if you can do the same next semester.  I would look at Boalt and Stanford.  I don't understand the desire to go GULC either..
