Hi everyone.  I'm new to the board.  Is anyone else going to Admitted Students Week?  I'm going in March.

I live not too far from Jolie on the Old West side, about a 12-15 minute walk depending on how fast I'm walking. I love it out here - it's cheaper, quieter, and to be honest sometimes the walk is nice (and I'm a cold weather person so I don't mind the winter). That being said, next year I'm moving a block away from the law quad... I guess I decided to switch it up a little. If anyone has questions about the old west side i would be happy to answer them!

So how generous is Michigan with (non Darrow) merit aid and how hard is it to get? I didn't even expect to be admitted so I'm not holding my breath.

I have Ivy UG debt (my parents were too poor to write a check for tuition and apparently made too much money for grants) and I'm debt adverse. Sadly, I'm also a prestige whore so its hard for me to turn down a T14.

I'm also not straight out of UG and have managed to hold down a job and take care of myself, so I'm guessing my EFC will be atrocious. I'm hoping Mich will help me afford this
