Just another Asian = URM? post

I understand that many Law schools do not consider Asian-Americans as URMs; however, I have been wondering what the situation is like for Asians who were not born in America, or Asians who attended their high school equivalent (Secondary School in my case) in Asia. Assuming this information is included in the Personal, and Diversity, statements -- will those such as I still be considered non-URMs?

URM is not the only thing that can boost your admission chances.  Highlight things that make you different from most other applicants (like going to school in Asia, killing a bear with only a pocket knife and a can of soda, or double-majoring in nuclear medicine and underwater basket-weaving).

I'm more worried because my major was kinda a non-academic one, viz., dance...
Not too sure how that would read for admissions committees.
