exam software, PC v. Mac

On my Civ Pro final (3 hypos, no MBEs) my PC would not log on to the exam software.  I ended up writing the entire exam.  Ugh!  my wrist still hurts as I am 42 and not getting any younger (30 pages of text in 3 hours).  The next day, I upgraded to 2GB RAM and that seemed to help -- Evidence and Real Property went fine, but the PC is still slow, and its only 1 year old.

Does anyone use exam software on a MAC notebook?  Just wondering if the software is more reliable than on a PC.  Several others at my school have had to do last minute writing when their PC's failed to log on to the software.

We used "Exam4" at my school and I run it on a Mac. Though I am only through one round of exams, I haven't had any problems.

I used a PC my first year and used my schools exam software. One of my exams was lost for a while but eventually found, but I noticed that my computer ran slower. Switched to MAC this year and had no problems with exam software.

We use Exam4 at my school also.  I bought a new laptop PC before law school and didn't have any problems using it for exams.  I know there are people in my class who have Macs and they used the Exam4 software fine too.  Do you have a tech support department either in the law school or the university as a whole?  Maybe you could take your computer into them and have them check up to make sure it's all working fine and advise you if you need to upgrade anything.

No tech support here.  We use Examsoft and have to contact them if there are any issues.
